Famille jaune, noire, rose, verte are terms that used in western countries in order to categorize porcelain of the Qing dynasty by the main color of its enamel palette. Despite of the fact that "rose" mean "pink" in French, Famille Rose's color may actually range from pink to dark raspberry.
Famille Rose was popular in the 18th and 19th century, sometimes found as sets of armorial ware in European and American families.
